HOLIDAY BLUES ACCOMPANYING ART AND CRAFT IDEAS

Updated: Oct 23, 2023

Hello!

It has been a quiet few weeks as I am trying to find my feet with a number of things going on currently. Life is hard juggling everything for sure!

I have recently returned from a weeks holiday in Malta with my partner Joe. It was such a beautiful place, full of culture, history, and food, all of which we relished in. Get our belly's out!

There were a number of highlights whilst we were away. The last was intense and stunning. We spent the day in and around Mellieha. Some time snorkelling, and taking in the culture and history with the war bunkers. The evening as sunset, we overlooked where we had been all day at dinner, it was emotionally overwhelming for us. So calm, no pressure, pure happiness. Time stood still.

Lights lit up pathways along with the Parish Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.

Our last evening, was met with the best fireworks we have ever witnessed. It was like being in the movies. The Maltese were celebrating victory day, which 'recalls the end of three historical sieges made on the Maltese archipelago'. The bright lights, the fire displays, the loud bangs, were met with pure excitement and joy between friends and families.

I have reflected from my time whilst being home, and I yearn for peace and tranquillity; to be close to the people I love most. The values in Malta, were similar to my own, and I felt a place of grounding and peace.

I am currently still missing some of these values, and are seeking within my art and life at this stage.

I hope that I am able to capture some of the amazing places of Malta in the next few weeks within my art. Whilst creating some art and crafts ideas. I want to be able to share this with you. Stripped back underrated beauty.

Love to you all!
