WATERCOLOURS
I enjoy combining watercolour paint with pen, which adds colour to the pieces; provides a different value of depth. Darker tones of colours layered through watercolours are then masked with a closer detailed pen section to create varied tones and textures. I do tend to allow every piece to take me on a journey rather than plan to the end degree. I appreciate the flexibility of this.
The sea waves swaying in and out,
Turning the tiny pebbles, white noise,
No one knows what that is about,
It’s calm and clear, oh the joy,
The unknown depths spark mystery, often unexplored,
I feel comforted and reassured,
The coloured tones glisten,
I bet the sea is lonely,
With the endless pollution, does anyone ever listen?
For the sea is the one and only,
I took a breath in,
My eyes water, my head ablaze,
I can smell and feel the suncream seeping into my skin,
I gaze,
The wind is coarse, and the air is clean,
